CYBERNETIC FLOW

Seven-channel video installation, copper pipe, red carpet, 48in x 48in x 72in, 2023

CYBERNETIC FLOW deconstructs the “body” in digital displays of fluid through tubing and glassware. Transport systems of fluid are monitored through seven video screens mounted onto a body-scale copper pipe sculpture. The work presents a fragmented depiction of the internal structures of a cybernetic being, reflecting the mechanisms of sustaining life in corporeal bodies. CYBERNETIC FLOW renders a reality where the natural, warm, and living has been displaced by the synthetic and mechanized.
